Rift: Planes of Telara

Post by Bevan »

I don't know if many have been keeping an eye on Rift, but the first of their beta events is due to kick-off tomorrow in the build up to release.

For those that are not aware of the title, though I don't see how if you visit any popular gaming site :), Rift: Planes of Telara is a new mmorpg from Trion Worlds that is quickly approaching release and building up quite a head of [s]steam[/s] hype. With it's next-gen graphics, highly flexible soul (class) system, dynamic content and factional PvP, it's attracting a lot of interest. It's one I'm keeping at least one eye on anyway ;)

Visit the official Rift: Planes of Telara website for more details and official forums.

Here's a recent trailer to whet your appetites :)

The Imperium guys (from Aion) are going to be playing this one - but I dunno if I'll be joining them yet. Not really in the mood for a MMO at the moment, maybe I'll try it casually. But that's what I said about Aion :)

Dunno :) I didn't look at much of the hype yet. Apparently it's nothing original and it's aimed at experienced MMO'rs and it's polished. That's about as far as I got before I fell asleep.

not in mmo mood either anymore, I spent lot of time (well about 90% of my game time) in the virtual skies and love it again. Also thinking about doing some racing again once or twice a week, tried Alfatina on friday night but didnt get my GT Legends to work

Shame Quai, you missed an epic- it was Drokk's 40th birthday and we celebrated in style :) There are some tricks needed to get GTL going on win7/vista, shout if you need help, or there is a guide on SJ site somewhere...

Did you do anything in your hosts file? I seem to remember there is something you can do there...

A few month later we know what Grim means with "Casual". Not sure if he would survive playing a game fanatical :p
