Field2play

Post by Duvi »

I don't usually promote a lot (actually none) of projects, but my cousin started this and I am very proud of him for doing so.

He studied at the sportsacademy, and for his final project he decided he wanted to do something "good" for children.
So searched for a good organisation which whom he could set up a sportsproject for street children. The organisation he chose is Mama Alice (http://www.mamaalice.com/
He has been in Peru for a while now, you can read about it (in Dutch) here: http://www.hameleras.waarbenjij.nu/ and here: http://www.mamaalice.com/content/?p=111

Now he would like to start his own foundation, called "Field2play".
The website just went live at it isn't finished yet, so I'll translate some for you:
.........
Goals of Field2Play:
* Give streetchildren a chance for a better future
* Promote football
* link it to an educational program

Football field Ayacucho

Field 2 Play is an organisation who wants to build a footballfield within 2 years to give a chance to the many poor talented children in Ayacucho to develop themselves as a person and as a football player.

By means of this website, Field 2 Play tries to get worldwide attention to finance the project. Visitors from this website can sponsor a virtual piece of gras. Activities will be organized with which you can help. Do you want to help to? then check out "support the project"

................

You can buy a piece of grass of 1m2 for €60,- , you'll have it for 3 years then. You'll get a mailing of how the foundation is doing and you'll get a certificate that you sponsor that piece of grass. For compagnies he has other offers. (Ofcourse you can also donate money without buying grass.)
(ps: he has no online paying method yet)

It's obvious he just started it, but he has done a great deal in the charity part allready with Mama Alice. The field won't be build soon, that will take a while ofcourse. Still I'd like you all to keep an eye on his project and support it if you can! (Even if it is only by spreading the link to his site / placing a banner of his site somewhere.)

Hopefully he'll get loads of sponsors soon so he can get started :)
